In 2023, only 14% of new electricity generation capacity in U.S. is forecast to come from fossil fuels

Developers planning to add nearly 55 GW of new capacity, or enough to power for roughly 18-26 Million US homes

If all forecast solar projects come online (29 GW), it will more than double the previous record for solar capacity added in a single year
